How do you buy books?

You may have read our previous post about the written word. If so you remember it mentioning the history and challenges of writing centuries ago.

But, now with technology and ease of printing, we have a multitude of options to obtain books to read.

There are still bookstores, which carry with them the feeling that only a good bookstore can carry. It is similar to a library and the comfort that it brings, but in a bookstore all is fresh and new.

It is a wonderful journey to visit a bookstore and see all the bright artistic covers peering back at you from their shelves and expertly displayed perches.

Picking them up, you feel the crisp newness of their covers and pages. As you flip through them that fresh smell of printers ink tickles your nose.

However, in our hurried, multitasking world, we often choose to read and therefore buy, our books online. You may use Amazon, but many authors such as Nancy Jackson, offer their ebooks on their website.

One of the fastest growing markets now is audio books. The leader in that field currently is Audible, which provides readers a monthly subscription service and discounts to purchase additional credits through the month.

We would love to know. Where do you buy books?
