Book Review- The Blood by Nancy Jackson

This was the most entertaining murder mystery book that I’ve read in quite a while. The first chapter grabbed my attention immediately, and I found myself having a hard time putting the book down.

From the stunning book cover to the unexpected twist at the end, Nancy has created a professional and entertaining story that brings you into the heat of the moment with danger and thrilling suspense, not to mention blood.

This story, set in a small Oklahoma town, will give you chills as the plot unwinds revealing unexpected twists and turns. Nancy has created characters that will capture your heart. You will experience  Senna’s friendship with Andrea, along with her romance with Blake.

Senna’s early experience with family and faith lead to the main reason for her turmoil. An unexpected introjection of spiritual enlightenment and support from her friends helps her to overcome the obstacles that she was fighting to recognize.

The OSBI agents, Carrie and Randy, have their own special relationship as co-workers and friends. The intricacies of their friendship develops as they try to find the killer before he strikes next.

The Blood is not what you would expect from your typical murder mystery. I would highly recommend this book, and am expectantly waiting to see what the next book in the series has to offer.

Nancy writes both fiction and non-fiction in various blogs and short stories as well. Before publishing her first novel, she spent many years as a silver/metalsmith designing and making jewelry.

Nancy is also a full-time Realtor. Her true passion though is writing and she is thrilled that she’s now able to pursue it with the passion she has always desired.
